The park has all kinds of seating (yes, some is covered) in the great outdoors, plus you can bring your own blanket and cooler and let the kids enjoy the playground and it’s dog friendly (as long as they are on leashes). Plus, on weekends there is a farmer’s market, and arts and crafts market and live entertainment. Too much to pack in this blog, but here’s a link so you can explore for yourself http://atlantafoodtruckpark.com/.
The day we chose to go, it was threatening to rain at any moment, but fortunately held off until we finished, but it gave us an opportunity to scope out all of the truck without any lines and all of the vendors were super friendly. One of our first choices was The Sandwich Buddha.
The menu has seven or so sandwiches on it, all of which sound as creatively wonderful as the ones we tried. I chose the grilled cheese which came with a tomato jam dipping sauce that was the perfect mate for the rich cheeses. Oh, yes, you also get a delicious ginger cookie with every sandwich.
a side of delicious sweet cole slaw. On weekends they even have ribs. It’s an Atlanta tradition.
and sweetest stop was to Yum Yum for some cupcakes. Went for 1, ended up with 3 and am thinking about going back today and getting a dozen. Good luck on choosing just one.
